Honestly I'm a little speechless on these photos. This is just pore filler. I can only imagine the depth with varnish on.

My eyes have a hard time listening to my brain when I see this stuff under finish. It just doesn’t look like a flattened piece of wood, more like the surface of Mars or something. Incredible.

I have a guitar in progress with a very very similar set of the tree from a different builder. I suspect it is from the very same section of the log!

This one is turning out to be such a gem. The combination of the unique body shape + insane “Tree” figure is just special.

Those back and sides look insane with pour filler. Under finish, you might miss a day or two of work staring mesmerized into them! Hahaha!!
