Default A favorite Bob Evans' tune of mine.

Bob Evans is a great guitarist and his "The Slippery Slope" is one of my very favorites tunes. I tabbed it out and Bob was kind enough to give me permission to share it on the forum.

Watch Bob play it:

Wow, excellent! Thanks for that, Derek. I’ve never heard of him, and he’s really good. With all that sliding around, learning that one has got to be tough on the fingertips!

First, thanks for the transcription, but more important, thanks for alerting me to Bob's music. He's both original and tied into traditional and popular idioms--not to mention technically outstanding. I'm hooked!
Yay for guitar music!

Bob Evans is a really fine player. I've known him since the late 1990's.

He did a really nice cover of my piece 'Dust Mop' on his 'Acoustic Tonic' album a while back.

Good people, too!

Regards,
Howard Emerson

Incidentally, this tune appears in the fairly new "Flying Fingers" Mel Bay book - a pretty nice collection of tabs. Bob has a lot of nice tunes, but not many are available written out, and this is the only one of his in the book. Bob also has a video where he teaches this tune:
