Default Chord walk up/walk down lessons book

Any recommended books to learn chord walk ups and walk downs focused on country style?

Flatpicking Essentials Volume 1 covers this. It has sections on Repeating Bass Notes, Alternating Bass Lines, Walk-ups, Walk-downs, Leading Tones, Chromatic Walk-ups and Walk-downs, and Bass Runs-OldTime Style.

This subject is about 12 pages out of the 80 in this excellent book. Volume 1 covers Rhythm, bass runs, and fill licks. You will find it for sale at www.flatpick.com.

I bought the whole set of the electronic version, as well as the first 3 volumes in physical books as well. I really like these books, but Your Mileage Will Certainly Vary.

Thanks for the advice on the book. I was having some issues with some walk ups I was trying to apply . I finally cracked open this book, and solved my problem which was a matter of timing and too many notes between chords. A lot of excellent material to work with in this book.

Glad you found it helpful. I should crack mine open again. I often find it beneficial to go back through material I finished a couple of years back.

The introductory chapter is worth the price of admission. The author made some compelling arguments that rather than memorizing tunes you need in the beginning to work on a good foundation of rhythm and timing.

Thanks to the book I was able to learn and play a decent rendition of Folsom Prison Blues with walk ups and alternating bass which I will play for my instructor today..
