Hi Phil!!
Your thoughts and comments are deeply appreciated, Phil! I love your take on the string runs and following section......when I read that I immediately thought...YES! Others have said it's a bit haunting and I always associate tunes from the Hebrew tradition as quite haunting and yes, beautiful. Being so close, it's helpful to catch reactions from listeners....so meaningful and important.

Thanks again, Phil...I hope you are doing well.
My best,
Fred

I enjoy so many of our contributors to the Show and Tell section, but if I am being honest, I think your compositions are my favorite to look forward to.

I found this one to be a 180 degree departure for you, yes haunting, mysterious, and I would add darker then your normal wheelhouse. I could see this as a soundtrack in a movie where the character is searching deep for some meaning that they can't quite find. Very evocative.

Hello Tom!! Well, my friend, you know how to make a guy's day! Thank you for the kind words and sharing thoughts on this piece. What a compliment to hear that you look forward to these......I'll do my best to keep them coming!

As usual for me, these start with the smallest of riffs and then something sparks to follow this with "more" even though I have no idea what "more" might be at that moment! At that point it's all "ear" and intuition which takes over to explore where things may lead.
Greatly appreciate your taking time to listen and passing along these thoughts Tom! Thanks again!
Fred

It’s clear that you knocked another one out of the park with your Doerr, Fred.

Well done!

I enjoyed this recording. It sounded great on my computer speakers, probably much better with good headphones. Nice mood music.

Very nice, sounds like a intro instrumental to a television series. What is your recoding chain?

Hello poltad!! Thanks for taking a listen to my tune! Others have also commented on this being a movie or television trailer piece. That's a fun thought!!
My recording chain is quite simple..... two Shure KSM 137 mics, into a Rane acoustic mic amp, to a Zoom H4n portable recorder. I do have 3 broad band sound panels as a part of this set-up. Post processing is done with a sound engineer who I've worked with for a number of years to try to bring my sound to the best it can be with my basic recording set-up.

Thanks again for taking a listen and commenting!
Best,
Fred
