I picked up a nice Breedlove stage concert ce for under $700 a few years ago. It was a really nice guitar, but had a loose brace so I returned it. Deals like that can be had with a little patience I think.

I agree with the Stage as another good pick. Make sure it's solid wood all over as I think this may not have always been the case.
