What have you settled on?
... now there’s a hook if ever I saw one ... For me (right now), it’s: 00/OM fingerstyle friendly (not limited to a specific nut width - varies from guitar to guitar) short scale a + Spruce, Hog, Cedar Rock, Blues, Jazz pretty wide swath, I know, but I’m a multi-faceted guy ... now if only my abilities approached my aspirations ... I do enjoy what I little am able to do, so there’s that. ~ Paul

I just love OMs. Great sound, not too big, not too small, and depending on wood choices - lots of different flavors to be had.

For acoustics I’ve settled on Martin dreads. Currently I have a D18 and D35 .

Golden era prewar Martin guitars. Not healthy for my wallet that is for sure, but I caught the bug and nothing else sounds "right" to me now...
