Breedlove USA Concerto Sun Light - Anyone?
Hi All -
I went into my local store yesterday to buy some strings and a capo. On the wall, they had the Breedlove USA Concerto Sun Light. I was killing time and chatting with the shop owner and pulled the Breedlove off the wall just for fun. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the guitar. It was a very full sounding guitar with a wonderful woody tone and yep, it was light as a feather. Just curious if anyone here owns one, or has spent much time with one? I would love your thoughts if so. Thanks!

The magic of Breedlove bites another one.
Watch this Breedlove concerto take on some of the big boys:

Yes, I've played the Sunlight, Moonlight and Firelight models... I liked the two spruce topped ones the best; they were both incredibly loud for brand-new instruments, and yep, REALLY lightweight!
Apparently, they've been discontinued, so you should be able to get a great price on one, should you choose... Breedloves, on the whole, are REALLY good guitars at every price point... and highly underrated and undervalued, it seems, despite my (and many others) best efforts!!!

I have played a few Breedloves, and they are very good guitars provided you like the signature sound. They tend to be warm and lush and I prefer brash and forward. Fingerpickers tend to really like them, and the cedar top models are beautiful. I heard a slack key player on one and it was heaven.

I bought a Concert Sun Light E in February. I echo all the above praise for the series. As was mentioned, the series has been discontinued, but I bought mine brand new from Elderly for $1100.

Well, I am glad my ears did not completely deceive me. Seems like some others heard the qualities I did.
Thanks to all who chimed in so far!

I have yet to play a US made Breedlove that I didn't like.
I have yet to play an import Breedlove period. |

Yes, the “light” series is pretty incredible. Not sure why they didn’t catch on. Maybe too plain looking given the price point???
They really do sound good, though. Rb |

Breedlove Firelight
I have a Firelight and love it. Awesome sounding all Honduran Hog for fingerstyle and couch playing. Got mine used from the factory

Another Breedlove convert here. I have two of them. I'm not sure how they do it, as far as bang for the buck! Every time I pick one up & play, I get a big smile on my face! The tone is "Correct!"
