Default TRIC's a treat

I have a couple of TRIC cases and a couple of standard coffin cases. The TRICs are much lighter, more portable, and sturdy enough to sit on. I've checked them as airline baggage several times with no harm, though not with my best guitar.

About the only advantage of the hardshell case is looks, and it can be easier to operate a few latches instead of unzipping the whole case for access.

Light weight. Stronger than some single ply cases. Thermal protection. I have a buddy who’s had one for years. It’s beat up. But his guitar ain’t.

I will say this though...the chemical smell in the case is immense...

I was just practicing and the chemical smell is infused in the interior wood of the guitar...I thought I was gonna get high with the smell coming out of the sound hole...lol

As for the humidipaks...yeah, don’t seem to need em but I’m throwing them in anyway to see how they behave. They are new to me as well and I’m just kind of trialing them with my SensorPush sensors etc...

TRIC cases are nice but the humidity in all my cases - many different brands - even the backpack Voyage Air case - keep my guitars stable for weeks.

3. Better handle that's easier to work.

Other than that, it's pretty perfect.

I loved mine until the zipper pull broke. Now it is pretty useless. Anyone have any clue how to fix it once the zipper handle snaps off?

You can get a replacement zipper pull at most luggage stores or ..... almost anywhere on Amazon. No need for the case to be useless.

I've got 3 TRIC cases -- all came with a Seagull included -- and they are my favorites. I do have a couple of Hiscox cases that seem very sturdy. However, when it comes down to it, the light weight, sturdiness, and insulating properties usually win out - add in the straps and it seems I always travel with the TRIC.
