Default Why do these things keep following me home?

I am picking up a red MIM Strat today off CL with upgraded pickups. $200 was just too good to pass up. It'll go well with my MIM tele.

I love these "they practically paid me to take this!" deals. Inexpensive way to expand musical horizons. Enjoy your Strat - they're great guitars!!

Looks good but needs a setup. It'll probably have to wait until after Christmas.

Strats seem to be like peanuts. You can't eat just one.

I like the title of this thread I'm the same way.

What are the upgraded pickups?

I should have said "pickup" with no "s". It has a "hotrails" in the bridge position.

I put a set of hotrails in my Strat to mimic Iron Maiden. Nice pickups.

I shimmed the neck and adjusted the truss rod today. She's set up pretty well now. I have to admit, I love the tone! I'm more of a tele guy but variety is nice!

For Christmas I received a black accessory kit and a white pickguard for it. So, now she is looking good. It's a wine red color (burgundy) and now has a white pickguard and black pickup covers, etc. She really looks great! I'll post a pic today.
