Default 1971 Martin D12-20 SOLD

NOW SOLD

I had the incredible opportunity to buy this one back and use it on a recent recording project. That project has wrapped up and it's time to move it along to its next owner. Currently strung up with monel strings and sounds amazing! I know the next owner will enjoy it!

Condition: Plays excellently, neck is straight and low, some saddle left for future adjustments, tuners function well. Some minor dings and scratches on the top and back, a few finish checks have developed over time but there is relatively little finish checking at this point in the aging process. Previous owner told me the frets had been replaced and there had been a neck reset. I can't see any sign of a neck reset, other than the fact that it plays incredibly well. I've tried to take good photos of any dings or finish cracks. Please let me know if there's anything else you would like to see!

Specs:

12-frets to the body, 12 strings

Satin finish mahogany neck

C profile neck (wide)

Spruce top

Mahogany b/s

Rosewood bridge and fret board

Slotted headstock

Original open gear tuners

24.9" scale length

1 7/8 nut width

Incl. non-original HSC

Please let me know if you have any questions or if there's anything else you'd like to see!

I get it. It's February and this is a vintage 12 string. You're worried about the neck and cracks and repair work down the line.

So I'm happy to say this one is playing exceptionally well, no signs of a neck reset in the near or immediate future, fresh monel strings sound amazing, and is crack free with some nice finish checking adding to the vintage vibe. It'll ship securely packaged and covered under my Heritage policy should anything happen in shipment. Or local pickup is always an option!

Send me a message and let's make a deal!

Not buying as I have one, and love it.

For general info - in my humble opinion, there are GREAT 12 stings!!!

Sometimes it just takes the right guitar to open up a new aspect of creative possibilities.

If the legends are true, you’ll sound just like Keith Richards.
