2016 Martin 00-18 Authentic 1931 SOLD
Up for sale is my immaculate 2016 Martin 00-18 Authentic 1931. This guitar has a VTS Adirondak top, hide glue construction, Madagascar rosewood binding, and more. This guitar has a great range, pleasing mahogany clarity, feels extremely light (I do not know the exact weight), and has hardly been played (no fret wear) and only finger picked. Martin made 171 of these from 2015 to 2020.
There isn’t a mark on this guitar and it has never been modified. OHSC also like new. This is a handmade, authentic reproduction of a 1931 00-18 that Martin borrowed from Fred Oster’s (owner of Vintage Instruments) collection. If you are not familiar with Martin’s authentic series guitars, I encourage you to read up on the process. These are completely different animals than their production line guitars and feel completely unique from the second you pick one up. Asking $XXXX to continental 48 including shipping f&f. g&s is negotiable For referrals or questions please reach out. Great Guitars
I own one and frankly it’s the best thing Martin’s put out since 1944. I have played it against both prewar 00-18s and 21s and it has more dynamic range than many of them. The average prewar 00-18 lacks bass, these do not.
It’s 3 pounds 2 ounces. I gig it with a K&K and it works better than anything I had and I’ve had many and toured much. |

Martin 00-18
Does it have a truss rod?
Thanks, Hank |

This guitar has an ebony truss rod. I think One Man’s Guitar has the best write-up on the 00-18 Authentic 1931 if you want to check it out. I hope I am allowed to share this link.

Marked this as off-market in December to think about whether or not I want to sell it for a while.
Decided I should sell and so I deleted a handful of bumps and am bringing this listing back to life. Now listed lower than ever. Please let me know if you have any questions on this remarkable and mint guitar. |

Bump. I know my opinion may seem biased, but I’ve sold 4 guitars recently and saved the best for last. IMO it is the best guitar I’ve owned and worth every penny for someone who needs $5k less than I do :/

This is maybe the most handsome guitar Martin has ever built. Someone is going to be very happy.
