I love all Taylor guitars.......except the 400 series. Dump your beginner guitars and get a new D18 from one of your sponsors. Amazing guitars.

The one that has some soul.....the D18.
Yeah, I'm jumping on the pile with everyone else!
Let us know how it goes and good luck!

I'm with the poster who said once you have a D 18, the other dreads you have will be nonexistent.

I am feeling like the d-18 is the way I am going to go. The Taylor is going to have to wait.
My daughter already claimed the yamaha as hers so that's gone.
I think I'm taking a drive to my local Martin dealer tomorrow.

Thanks for all the help.

I will eventually own them both but with a kid in college and 2 more right behind the budget only allows for one at the moment. Right now I am predominantly a strummer but recently have been finger picking allot. I am looking for some advice on to witch one I should buy first. My other steel string acoustics are a Yamaha fg730 and a fender cd140. Both starter guitars so this will be my first higher end steel string. I was thnking the Taylor first as most describe it as a good strummer and finger picker but every time I go to pull the trigger the thought of the d-18 stops me. When I think of ordering the d-18 I stop because I already have 2 dreadnoughts.
Hit me with your thoughts

Thanks
Daniel
This forum is heavily biased in favor of Martins.
Many will quietly bash Taylors, so I am not sure
you will be getting unbiased opinions here.

In personal preference, but not in negative attitude about other opinions.
