Default Halcyon Owners Inventory

Jason Verlinde of the Fretboard Journal wrote "Among other places, the Halcyon line enjoys a cult-like following on the Acoustic Guitar Forum"

So I thought if this is the case we should find out who is here and what they have.

I have #63 A Flamed Walnut/Sitka Advanced Jumbo. September 2014. A sweet guitar that i use primarily for finger picking but holds together as good as any guitar strumming with a pick. Aside from tone the most obvious physical standout in this guitar is weight. it is so lightly built that you can see the surprise in peoples faces when they first pick it up.

I have #124 on order and in production It is a New Guinea Walnut/Sitka Small Jumbo. I look forward to it coming but i enjoy the anticipation.

I know AGF member "Blaren" has at least 2 early Halcyons but i haven't seen him/her here in a long time.
Who's next?

I have #69 and "coincidentally" am on the build waiting list for #169, which may speak to my love for the first one. It's a Lutz Spruce/Primavera OM that plays like a dream. NGD post is here, and that post also links to the build thread.

Not sure what #169 will be, though I'm thinking Gibson shapes (NL-00 or jumbo) to achieve similar tonal balance to my OM with a bit more heft, but I have many months to debate in my head. Keen to see how T268's redwood/walnut deep body OO evolves, and also looking forward to owners' impressions of the torrefied Lutz.

And, speaking of Blaren, what ever happened to him? He was Ed's biggest advocate when I put my original deposit down almost 2 years ago.

Default I am in

#55 Halcyon 12 fret 000 Primavera/lutz. I raved elsewhere so won't go on beyond saying the best tonal and playability value in a custom guitar build, hands down (IMO).

So far we can account for 34, 55, 63, 69, 73, 111, 115, 116, 121, 124, 125, 132, 144. Not bad! I know there are more.

I have #121. Sitka/Rosewood NL-00. It is now the only guitar I own. For me it is the perfect guitar. Working on putting some sound clips together but life keeps getting in the way.
