My big problem with air guitar is that it only lends itself to certain types of music: rock and fusion. Air fingerstyle has little charm. Air singer songwriter playing even less. Air rhythm playing looks like an obscene gesture, especially if you are throwing your head back and going "the face" as you are strumming...

I have a helium guitar - it's very highly pitched, but I love it.

Not a single person on this forum has any idea what you’re talking about when you’re describing the air rhythm!!

Air singer/songwriter is especilly difficult if you play perched on an air barstool.

I have several air guitars ... but I’ve always really wanted a Nitrogen guitar ... those are much cooler!

I have no desire to own an air guitar when a tennis racket is an option.

Tennis rackets have way too many strings

Do you remember their ads from the 80’s? Back when they always had the models posing with the instruments?
