Default Rickenbacker 700/S-12

Just had my Shasta 12 upgraded by Paul Wilczynski.

The guitar was recently upgraded by Paul with a carbon-fiber spline under the fretboard and composite reinforcement on the neck and headstock plays and sounds beyond words can write

Wow, looks nice! I wasn't familiar with this model. I've played one of the electric 12 stringers, a 360 I believe. Instant Tom Petty.

Many years ago when I was living in DC I caught a documentary on the George Mason University channel about the making of Rick acoustics. It was not about the building of the guitars but rather about the business model the company followed. What I remember thinking at the time was I could not find one of these guitars for love or money. The only one I had in fact ever seen was on the cover of an early 1960s Jim Reeves LP.

So, Paul took care of everything on the guitar to your satisfaction?

I used to own a '01 730/12L, one of the relatively few Rick factory built acoustic guitars.

[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG]Hi Jeff,

Yes, absolutely and it plays to amazing perfection. I have just ordered a new Madeleine 700/S-6 from Paul and will have it in August, exactly the same specs and build as the Ric Shasta he used to build but now under his own name brand, a nice compliment to the 700/S-12 and will be finished in shaded Caramel.

Pic below is my new Madeleine 700C/6 under body construction.
