Default Larry Robinson's work for your viewing pleasure

This is going on Bob Singers B/W Ebony OM. My understanding is that the customer's wife is behind the aesthetics. To what extent that is true I haven't a clue.
Anyway, Larry does great work

and an inlayed pickguard

Yes Larry does indeed. Is that an ebony PG or black plastic?

Wow, that is amazing work, however, you are going to need a pick guard to protect the pick guard!!! Seriously, any thought of a clear guard over the inlayed one!!!

I had the same question. So this is getting a thicker layer of finish than the top usually gets just to protect that barefoot gal. I bet the new owner just finger picks this guitar anyway.

I must be getting old. I’m looking at the beautiful wood on the fretboard. Too bad you can’t get black frets. And it goes without saying that the inlay work is spectacular.

Beautiful. The new owner should just use a static cling pickguard over the original pickguard and then remove it when the guitar is not being played.

That wood is a kind of ebony I’m told. I have the frets in it now and it acts like ebony, maybe a little softer, like rosewood.

Having some of Larry's work on a Kinnaird of mine, I can say it is admired each time I pick up that guitar (almost everyday). The man is a legend in his own time.

Haven’t seen anything like this since some of Wendy Larrivee’s finest inlay creations. Can’t imagine having that kind of talent and wood working skill.

Exquisite, but to be expected from an artisan of Larry's caliber.
