would want my 1890 Lyon Healy open back. the spun over rim would take out a head or body part pretty quick, could sharpen the ends of the nuts as well. steel rod reinforced neck so it would take on some good hits. 5.4 lbs so its not so heavy as to be slow to move, but plenty mass to do damage.

use the dowel stick and hold it as a shield and face plant a couple of them, attach a knife to the headstock and use as a spear tip.

flip it over and use the head to catch water in, use as a paddle if trying to cross deep water on a sheet of plywood.

i keep a banjo at every door, sold my Mossbergs couple years ago.

if none of that worked i could just play it, they'd scatter pretty quick. could run after them double thumbing, scare'm to death. dont need no more strings, one set of banjo strings last forever........

Just to be certain I'd put the resonator back on to knock 'em out. Or buy a Remington.

For sure a Telecaster! After all, it's Keith's favorite stage weapon for fending off zombies.

There is only one correct answer to the OPs question. And that is the Goodtime Two Zombie Killer Banjo. It looks to be discontinued but I’ll bet it can be found on the used market.
