Very cool rosette. I like it. Alessi tuners! Very nice. Those will look (and feel) great.

I really cannot wait to see how this one turns out! The combination of double sides and fan fret sound really interesting!

Absolutely - my Colorado blue sprue over Celebes ebony Meridian "Aurora" (build thread here) is also a fan fret, and is truly magnificent. In fact, for my tastes it is without doubt the finest guitar that I've ever laid hands on.

Matthew is in for a real treat with this one. Mike is at the top of his game.

What's the spread and the perp fret for your guitar?

BTW the crystal nail file is working out very well. Shameless promotion

I can second that. I've just taken delivery of my Meridian with Colorado blue spruce and African Blackwood. It has a slightly sorter scale length (25.25") and narrower nut width (1 23/32") and is staggeringly wonderful

25.25" to 26". There is no perpendicular fret - it would lie midway between the 5th and 6th frets. I spent a very long time getting these parameters right (playing a number of fan fret guitars and really studying the way I play, positions and my capo usage). The result - a guitar that really fits me 'like a glove'!

Really glad you're getting on well with the nail file - and very grateful for the promotion I'm getting some great feedback from the first owners, and they're starting to sell well!

Cheers,
David

Can't upload photos at the moment, but you can see it on the TAMCO website below

http://www.theacousticmusicco.co.uk/...k-guitars.html

I'll see if I can set myself up to post photos here.

Aha, I was wondering whose that was - so your Meridian finally arrived! It looks absolutely spectacular.

I'll step in with some pics from TAMCO, but would be great to see some of your own too. I'll bet it's an absolutely spectacular sounding instrument - it would be great to meet up at some point, I'm dying to have a play!

Cheers,
David

Hi David

Thanks for helping out with my technical ineptitude
It really does sound wonderful. You'd be very welcome to play it. I'd love to get your take on it and hear it the hands of a player of your ability. I don't have your talent, but I'm a really good guitar owner

I'll take that kind of hijack any time Great Photos and a stunning instrument. Really like ABW and the trim Mike used.

As you can imagine, Mike was a joy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to order another guitar from him. I'm already looking forward to seeing your build unfold.
