An Aside: Back in December 1968, I was a freshman at Syracuse University. Well, I knew the "Elvis Comeback Special" was to air that night so about 20 minutes before its start time I went down to the student lounge in my dorm and turned the tv to the appropriate channel. Aside from the pretty girl in the snack bar, I was the only one in the lounge and I thought: So Soon, They Forget, Ay! Okay, with 10 minutes to go until showtime, in comes a couple-a-three more students, and with each passing minute, in came more until there had to be 50 or 60 students my age and older ready for Elvis and "If you're lookin' for trouble ...." I don't know why, but I felt relief in that I was part of an ongoing community that never forgot The King, and likely never will!
