Default My guitars have never punched anyone above or below their weight.

My guitars don't punch above or below their weight. I wouldn't own a pugilist guitar. I've passed.over a couple of rough looking characters. They sounded great. I didn't want to assume the risk. I once was offered a set of Bare Knuckles pickups for a Telecaster. Hard pass.

What is your stance on these punchy guitars we so often read about on the main forum?

I think maybe they get edgy and hostile because people keep pulling the trigger on them!

It’s a reaction to all the gentle finger picking you read about on here. Every now and then you just need to go all Keith Richards with some guitar. Every guitar punches above its weight when you’re hitting someone in the head with it!

I think there is a lot of tough talk out there but that's all it is, talk. I don't put a lot of stock in how hard people claim their guitar can punch.

Mine have never blown anything out of the water or even been in water for that matter.

I've heard of one that killed fascists.

I once had a Gibson Les Paul Studio with Dirty Fingers humbuckers. I thought it best not to ask any questions.

Ted Nugent said his guitar could blow the " hm um" off a charging rino at 60 paces.

Default My guitars have never punched anyone above or below their weight.

If certain folks here on the AGF treated their S.O. the same way they treat their (often costly) instruments - with a total lack of respect and concern for their long-term well-being - and then have the nerve to refer to the attendant physical damage as "mojo," I strongly suspect the Jersey Boys road companies will have no problem securing lead vocalists for the foreseeable future...

Someone else’s guitar took a swing at mine once. My guitar set a clear limit. Said, “if you think you can pick on me, you’ve got another think coming!”

I blame it the PESs (performance enhancing strings).

Sounds to me like you need to man up and stop buying girly guitars.

None of my guitars has ever identified as a piano, or had anything to do with butter.
