Here are answers to a couple questions directed my way

Fretboard - My Dread is ebony, and it's supposed to be a 2004 or 2005 model. Either way, the neck and body are composite, so no warping., cracking, etc. The ebony fretboard feels good, and doesn't seem to be a detrement to the weather-proofness.

Pins/Saddle - The upgrade pins and saddle seem to give it a bit brighter tone, and a better definition using the UST. The stock version has plastic pins and a tusq saddle. I think it's very cost-effective upgrade.

I've never played one, but I'm sure if played like this guy can, it shows some promise.

I've never played a CA, however I've convinced by the principle of them, and will buy one when I get the chance.
