According to our city's aquatic center website (FAQ):

"All CSD Aquatics Facilities are heated pools and the temperature is set between 78° and 82° F. This is a temperature range that follows United States Swimming regulations."

I have made it a point to be buddy buddy with the maintenance guy at the gym. He keeps the pool at 79 degrees and we laugh about the "little old ladies" who complain about how cold the pool is.
