I am an absolute sucker for the hot sand faded accents. Especially against such beautiful burl.

Always a great start of the day waking up to a big photo dump of the hard work these boys have been putting in the last few weeks!

Voicing is complete and sound box will be closed this coming week and my level of excitement is through the roof. Rory said during our chat yesterday that this is the part where a ton of develop happens but then is followed by the lull of finish curing and letting the wood adjust to becoming a guitar. I will be traveling to Scotland first bit of December to pick up this guitar so expect a full studio demo and introduction video for it sometime before Christmas. Maybe even a shop tour video!

Looking awesome Dustin. I love that blackwood - looks so rich. Looking forward to hearing your demos and tour. I'll happily watch anything you care to share.

It’ll be good fun - the trip will be well-documented, just as B.I.G was!

Heh heh, there is a small-but-not-insignificant chance I will just snatch it from Rory and immediately drive to Tirga Beag for the full experience getting to know both...we will see.

There's an idea! A trip to Harris is definitely on my list now too - once the kids are old enough to climb the hills.

Not sure Dustin, Scotland in December, new guitar, Tirga Beag, that combination of things seems unlikely to me LOL, more like a nice pub somewhere on a stool with a whisky in hand.

Aye, was thinking the same. It will be colder by then than it is now... I suggest, we get Rory to stick on his woodburner, I bring a bottle of stupidly good Malt, and we listen to some great playing

Man, I didn't consider that! Bet it gets brisk in those hills...

Sounds like a top-shelf time. I had a dream I was playing the guitar last night, was pretty wild. Would be a pleasure to play a small mini concert or something if Rory and Gem don't have their hands full while I'm there.

Right? It just seems more fitting for a Scotland guitar pick up party!

Wow this is great! Not sure how I missed this entire thread so far but good on you Dustin.
The recordings of these guitars sounds spectacular.. I am most impressed with with your choice of a 25" scale.
that is what I have Gravitated to over the decades.
I would love to be a fly on the wall when you are playing this thing...
Salud
