Back on market: 1994 Froggy Bottom F14 cutaway in spruce/koa $3300 shipped
A few weeks ago, I was happily driving along home from work. Out of nowhere, a reckless driver ran me off the road, and I majorly sideswiped a fire hydrant trying to avoid cars parked on the side of the street. Thankfully no one was hurt and I managed to damage only my property, so long story short, I have to sell my other property to fund repairs!
Next up is a 1994 F-14 standard in spruce (I think sitka, but again, will have to confirm) and koa. This one is a standard, but has a number of upgrades including a florentine cutaway and bound headstock. This one has multi-colored purfles and Schaller machines. I think the measures are also consistent with those on the site, but I'll confirm that, too. Structurally, it is perfect, but cosmetically is a little worse off than the P. This one has very minimal checking, less so than the P (just a few small ones on the top and two on the back). There are a few small scattered dings, though nothing too major here and there, but the back has a few small dings, and several (may 15-20) small areas of "weirdness" in the finish. It looks almost like finish had sunken into the grain in, or almost like a few drops of acetone made their way onto the back and slightly attacked the finish. It came to me this way, so I have no idea what the story is, and I honestly didn't even find it for a few days once I took delivery of it, and I just happened to notice it in a reflection from an overhead light. If you are really picky, you won't want it, but I think do all of these areas will buff out completely or close to it. They're quite small and don't bother me so I haven't tried. I could get only the worst of them to show up in the photos. There are also some marks on the back of the headstock that looks like a tuner or capo was kept clamped to the head. There was a pickup mounted at some point, but it has been removed. Not sure of the case brand, but it is a totally acceptable HSC. Looking for $3900 OBO plus shipping and payment fees Scale: 25 1/4 Nut: 1 23/32 Saddle: 2 3/16 Lower bout: 16 Depth at heel: 3 1/2 Depth at end: 4 1/8 More photos at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/644985...57678051106367 PM or email me at gandhi85 AT aol DOT com Last edited by gandhi85; 06-22-2019 at 09:12 AM. |

GLWS. Froggy's are truly special instruments. For anyone who has been jones-ing for a Frog, this is as good a time as any. And yes, they are as good the hype suggests.

$300 price drops on each
P now $SOLD F now $3600 I'll leave these up a few more days before posting to Reverb. I'd much rather keep these in the AGF family, but need to find new homes. I think they'll go pretty quickly there, so don't dilly dally. Last edited by gandhi85; 05-14-2019 at 05:50 PM. |

Did you ever confirm the top wood? Looks like Sitka to me but I thought I'd ask just in case. Thx.
