Default Ray's rootworks "the root" beautiful!

Here is a beautiful piece from Ray Vincent in Canada. A six string guitar with a gorgeous shellback and stunning inlays. The sound is completely unique which to me sounds as if it is a mix of a resonator guitar, acoustic and a banjo. The root has a spruce top with walnut and cherry veneer back. The neck is made from mahogany and wenge with an ebony fret board. The tailpiece is made from rosewood mahogany and walnut with an ammonite fossil in lay-the detail on this guitar is unbelievable. The bridge is walnut and the side panel is spruce and cedar. It has a k and k pickup and a soft shell case(built by me out of an ovation case). 1 3/4 inch nut.

This is not the exact one but sounds very similar. If I played it the thing may not sell...

thank you. It is really a nice piece of work but I just don't have the time to enjoy it. It takes on a really cool tone if you flat pick it with a brass pick.

Cool instrument, and a work of art!

For years I've admired Rootworks' aesthetic. Despite being so unusual/unconventional, there's such a strong natural, earthy, hand-worked vibe...managing to evoke an older/lost era of folk instruments...or a fantasy world of elvish instrument builders (which I mean in the best way).

What's the scale length?

The scale length is 640.
Ray is a great guy. This is actually my second instrument from him he has improved exponentially since that instrument. He may end up in the league with Fred Carlson in the future. Here is your chance to have a piece from a future legend.
