I can’t say specifically. But I do know that I was sorta OK with the standard H&D set-up when I got my TOM-M new. I let the guitar settle for about 5 months, then I took it to my tech and said I thought it felt a bit tough to play. He did his own set-up (my tech is a little bit magician) and lowered the action significantly (to my fingers). Now it plays easily and nearly effortlessly.

I can’t give you specific measurements at the moment because I’m traveling for a good while. But when I get home, I’ll pull out the measure tool.

I should add that my TOM-M is custom and has a short scale.

Thank you! I appreciate the reply.

Yes. Like asking someone what size shoes they should buy. They, like setups, have to fit the person using them.

Yes, that was my next question. Can you also recommend if I should take my coffee black, or with cream?

There are several different factors involved in a good set-up for me, but my H&D 00 is a little below 4/64 and 3/64, so I have no real doubt that you can adjust yours to make it comfortable for you. I didn't know H&D recommended between 6-7/64" for their guitars. Way too high for me. It's a good thing I gave them specific directions for mine.

Let's please keep these responses pertinent to the OP's specific questions.

My H&D OM is set up just a touch higher than my other guitars. I'm not sure if it was from the factory or not because it was preowned. I like it just as it is because of the torrefied Adi top. This guitar has a lot of power, if I were a flatpicker this is the one I would reach for.

I have never owned a H&D guitar but I do prefer my coffee black.

Hope that helps
