Engraving or scrimshaw recommendation?
Does anyone have a recommendation for a person who can do custom engraving or scrimshaw work on the heel cap of a guitar? (think Froggy Bottom heel caps). I have a good idea of what I want, but I am willing to let an artist make a final design (or I can provide a design).
Obviously I'd like someone who has experience with guitars in case it requires heel cap replacement. Thanks for any advice or recommendations. |

Have you contacted Petria Mitchell or Michael Millard to see if she could/would do it? That is who my mind jumped to when I saw the title of your post.
Also, you might reach out to Harvy Leach (fellow AGFer) to see if he could point you in the right direction.

Bob Hergert... great guy and amazingly inexpensive given he may be the best there is... He did the scrimshaw on the 1.5 Millionth Martin Da Vinci.

Thanks everyone for the quick recommendations. I'll follow up on this.
The iguana is awesome, and Mr. Leach, I checked out your inlay work on your website and it's fabulous. Not just spectacular, but artistically elegant as well. Thanks for taking the time to respond. |
