Gibson J-29 Dreadnought
Hi everyone. Here's the story on this one. This is a 2014 Gibson J-29 recently purchased new from an authorized dealer. I had it set up at D'Angelo Guitars in Fair Lawn, NJ. Check out their reviews. They do awesome work. It only has about 2 hours of light play and is set up perfectly with an unregistered warranty. It still has the plastic on the pick guard.
The guitar sounds great with a perfect balance of tone. The playability is off the charts. The only thing worth mentioning is that the nut and saddle darkened a bit from age and sitting in the showroom. To me, it gives it a cool vibe. Other than that, no issues. Here are some specs: Body Body type: Dreadnought Cutaway: Non-cutaway Top wood: Sitka Spruce Back & sides: Rosewood Bracing pattern: Scalloped Body finish: Nitrocellulose lacquer Orientation: Right handed Neck Neck shape: Round Nut width: 1.725" (43.8mm) Fingerboard: Rosewood Neck wood: Mahogany Scale length: 24.75" Number of frets: 20 Neck finish: Nitrocellulose lacquer Electronics Pickup/preamp: Yes Brand: L.R. Baggs $1,295 Paypal'd & Shipped. These go for $2,350 new plus $75 for a good setup. Save tons here. Would consider trades for the following. Cash may need to be added depending on what you have. I am not able to add cash at this time. 000 or smaller body acoustic like an Eastman or Larrivee. Taylor 410, 412 or 414 Gibson SG Standard Small low wattage tube amp - Fender Princeton, Swart, etc. Open to other options. Although I don't have much interaction here, I have tons of positive feedback on The Gear Page, Reverb & Ebay. Last edited by kriso77; 12-14-2016 at 09:58 PM. |
