FS: David Webber's 1st OM - Very Special - PRICE REDUCED
I have been holding this back at the request of another AGF member. I'm not in a rush to sell so this has not been a problem, but the buyer tells me he's had some financial issues that may not be resolved for quite a while and can't get the bread together to do the deal. I'm sorry for his troubles but I am again offering this special guitar. It is the first OM built by David Webber and his 70th overall build (as per email from DW). Sitka top (now beautifully aged) and flame maple back & sides and heel cap, maple (I think) binding and very cool, retro style alternating dark and light wood purfling and rosette; fully bound mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge. 1 3/4" nut; standard scale.
Stunning to look at and sweet, clear and balanced tone from top to bottom. Plenty of sustain, but not so much as to obscure the fundamental notes. This is the best sounding maple bodied guitar I've ever had my hands on. Excellent condition, excellent action. There are no "issues" with this guitar. Some scratches on the original hard case, but heck, that's what the case is for. This one is hard to let go of but I realize that she's not getting the playing time she deserves. I'm mostly playing my 12 strings; so I'm going to try to let go and cut down on closet queens. I have kept her humidified and well cared for, in a non-smoking environment. Check out the pics. WOW is all I can come up with BEAUTIFUL !!!!!! If I can sell a few rifles I would pick this up! I will keep my eye on it for sure!
