Default I Can Only Imagine

Hello there AGF friends,

I wanted to share my tribute arrangement of "I Can Only Imagine" for two friends who have passed. I played this song at both of their funerals (I accompanied a vocalist) and was inspired to create a reflective solo arrangement. The full story is on the youtube post. Hope you all like!

Vince, that was a wonderful rendition of a great song. Thanks for posting.

Do you play around the Detroit suburbs? I’m in Beverly Hills.

Thanks so much everyone for all the kind words on this arrangement. It was quite a long labor of love to get this worked out. I really appreciate the support here!

reeve21 - glad you liked the guitar sound. I found mixing the m1 with that sticky Dean Markley pickup on the bridge sounded pretty nice. By themselves the pickups didn't sound that great, but when I blended the two, each one kind of covered up the weaknesses of the other.

Hey good to see another Detroiter here! Yes I play the occasional jazz gig. I'm in a big band and we play at the Royal Oak Middle School auditorium - it's a pretty nice room. I do some smaller group stuff as well every once in awhile.
