Default N(u)GD!!!!

I am now the proud and very excited owner of a 2000 model year Martin D-15M!!!!!!

I am over the moon....little rough around the edges but plays and sounds GREAT!!!

I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how.....I know how you folks love pictures!

Pics I hope...







Couple of dings in the back of the neck.....repaired crack in the back and some heavy wear/damage by the pick guard .......plays and sounds GREAT!!! Never thought I'd have one....got it on a trade deal for an old amp......so excited!!!

Congrats! Sounds like you picked up a great guitar. Do you know what caused the wear on the top? Looks like someone ripped off some tape or a sticker.

I like the first generation of the modern 15's...pre-sapele and long before the M designation. I always thought the first gen was the best sounding.

The first gen of the modern 15 series can be distinguished by the herringbone decal rosette and closed tuners. They were all solid mahogany, like yours. Sometime in the mid-2000's 15's were either mahogany or sapele, and several years later the 15 series got the M suffix when Martin switched back to solid mahogany.

I had a 1999 or 2000 000-15, same gen as yours. I regret selling it. It was a great sounding, easy playing guitar for not too much coin.

Yours looks well played. I like the wear patterns. Bet it sounds great.
