Bach Choral on Solo Guitar, from St. Matthew Passion
Dear Folks,
How will a chorale music sounds on classical guitar? Will it sounds guitaristic too? After a Easter, I decided to make my own guitar transcription of a Choral music from Bach St. Matthew Passion, BWV 244 No. 54. Originally in German: O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden English: O Sacred Head Now Wounded Chinese: 聖首受創

Good job and thanks for sharing. Did have a problem following the melody line.
You're talking about this piece, right?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1Ea8ZbYdwk A faster melody line would help it sound more legato (as it does with singing in a corral)

Thx Rick! Yes, that’s exactly the one I transcribed from.
Also thank you for your opinion about tempo. Yes, I agrees that playing it faster will helps to establish. A slow tempo may due to my past experiences in playing this pieces in church on Good Friday. I am stilling interpreting this music, hope I will find a good tempo.

Very nice job. It looks like the degree of difficulty of that piece is pretty challenging, but you played it very well.
