Indeed they are, he's a good egg... even sent me a whole load of photo's showing when the Neck bolt are with dimensions to avoid drilling in the wrong place for my strap button!

But, if I were to have a windfall there is no doubt I’d own that guitar.
Hey Ozarkpicker, that's fair comment, me too until I decided to sell the Bike!
Totally agree the Collings OM is gorgeous... but multo expensive!

Hi RP, mmm... tempting!

Hi ChrisE, they all sound lovely... and tbh I could have spent yonks trying some of those vintage guitars, though I do wonder if my ears would make me think again, or would I still want to go back to the McNally???
Either way, I'm looking forward to growing even older - with the guitar - as it too becomes a bit more vintage!

Well Mr Paul, that is the trick isn't it?? And finding one store where you can play in a quiet corner. My search took me half way across London... and so easily could have included some excellent shops in Surrey, Sussex and even further afield!!

Well, I already did experience a windfall, and I went on a guitar safari across 4 states. I bought a Martin CF-1 archtop I'd had my eye on for a while, after shopping a wide range of guitars. I already have a couple of Martin dreads, so I didn't feel like I needed another acoustic.

But, if there were stipulations to a new windfall, that I had to spend the money, and buy an acoustic, my choices would be a D-18, a D-41 ambertone, a Guild d-55 if I could find one, or a Taylor 814ce dlx or the Builder's Edition koa.
