Yamaha F345SY TBS. Anybody else have one?
I recently bought a dusty, grimy, not touched in a while Yamaha F345SY TBS for a great deal ($50) from somebody who was moving and needed to clear out some of their unused gear. Under all of the dust and grime it turns out it’s in really great condition and looks quite nice.

Playing experience, typical used price or resale value, etc? It’s a dreadnought (maybe modeled by Yamaha as a fancier F325/335?) with a flamed, tobacco burst laminate sycamore top, and gold tuners (that I over polished.. oops!). With new strings on, it is a a booming guitar with sweet mids and highs to match (to my ears, your opinion may differ). After I cleaned and set it up (oiled the fretboard, polished the tuners, frets and body of the guitar, adjusted the truss rod, sanded the saddle to lower the action, changed the strings and tightened all of the tuner screws) it turned out to be quite a gem of a guitar. There’s not a lot online about this guitar; I found one old and fairly detailed review and a few forum threads. http://theguitarreview.com/2012/03/0...ousticreview1/ I have it set in my company’s office as a community guitar. My intention is to keep it there and let colleagues play with it as they wish, possibly upgrade the saddle to bone (I can’t help it and it’s an easy upgrade), or sell it and buy (hopefully with some profit) a used FS700 or 800 with a solid top. It would be for the same purpose.. office community guitar. My wife won’t allow any more guitars at home.. some of you know this dilemma. Does anybody know about one of these? FG461S
I think it is a 90's Yamaha FG461S and I think laminate back and sides? I wonder if it is worth $300?

Looks like tiger stripes to me. Beautiful. If it plays and sounds half as good as it looks then it's worth 10X what you paid.
