Question LR Baggs Session Pedal w/ PARA DI??

Does anybody have any experience using any of the pedals from LR Baggs Align series?

I would like to use the Session pedal with my PARA DI in order to add a little bit of compression to my sound. What would be the order before sending to FOH??

Tuner>Session pedal>PARA DI then to FOH?

Part of it depends on what type of pickup you have in the guitar but you could try it before the Para or in its effects loop. I use a passive LB6 and use a TC Body Rez (which has some similar properties to the Session) and put it in the loop of my preamp. The effect is a little more subtle if it goes through the preamp first, which I prefer. I would recommend trying both but my only concern of putting the Session first is that it might boost the signal too much before going into the front-end of the Para. The Session is intended to be a true preamp, so you would either have to turn down the gain on the Para or let the Para be the preamp and let the Session condition the signal within the loop.

I’d try it both ways but since it’s an active pickup. I might try using the Session first so you can get the gain, compression, and saturation right and then turn the Para gain down and use it as an EQ and DI. That would be similar to using the Session pedal and Align EQ pedal. If you don’t care for that, flip it around and put the Session in the Para effects loop. Whichever sounds better.

Since all your signal path is made up of Baggs products, go to the Baggs website and log into their forum. Caleb will reply and is a wealth of knowledge. I would think they would offer the intended order for the best performance.

This align series looks very nice. I have had my eye on this for some time.
