2013 Gustav Fredell M, Higuerilla/Bearclaw Sitka Spruce

The late Gustav Fredell, former apprentice of Ervin Somogyi, was a gifted luthier who we lost too soon. We don’t often get to see his instruments on the used market, so we’re proud to be able to offer this M model in Higuerilla Rosewood and Bearclaw Spruce. This trim 00 is a little over three pound light, and boasts a heady bass response to belt it out. Laminated nut and saddle, Gustav’s uniquely hollowed out headstock design, and sturdy EVO frets. This 2013 Fredell has an impressive projection by any measure, especially so with a smaller body air cavity.

Gustav Fredell was a great luthier that we lost way too young. His legacy and passion live on. I still remember his enthusiasm when I would see him at the guitar shows.
