Default Red River Valley - very short take

Here's a very short take for a Sunday morning. I just finished teaching at a guitar camp last night, and a few days before camp started one of the other instructors sent out an email asking people to familiarize themselves with the old tune "Red River Valley", which he planned to use as a way to explore vocal harmony. I don't sing, but started just thinking about how I might harmonize that tune using what I do, which is play guitar :-) I came up with this quick pass, sort of chord-melody style, just one time thru. Now that camp's over, maybe I'll have time to expand it into a full tune, but I shot this quick video in part so I'll remember what I did.

If anyone's interested, I do have tab for what I've got so far on my website (free download)

Yes, Schoeps CMC6 MK41, my usual mic choice. Directly into a Sound Devices MixPre recorder. Guitar's a Shoenberg/Sexauer OOO-12 cutaway.

That was lovely, Doug. Love the jazz chords in there.
