Beautiful guitar Bruce.

Art Overholtzer would be proud of your construction techniques. Not sure you ever read his old book on guitar making but one of the quotes that stuck with me said that the worse sounding guitars he ever made were made forcing the sides into a mold. He did win the grand championship competition once. Don’t ask me what that competition was or how he entered it but evidently it was a world wide classical guitar competition.

While I know the name Overholtzer, I was unaware of his book. Ironically, in this context, I associate his name with guitar molds that I occasionally see for sale.

We hope so. Bruce has a few old school violin finish tricks that should enhance the figure even more...

Default Binding

Just a shot mid binding.... Bruce is binding the guitar with Amazon Rosewood with black/curly maple/black purfling.

This top is well matched and joined, and has so little visible run out that I had an unusually hard time finding the center line to locate the join for the two pieces of top binding. Certainly as nice a top as I have ever joined.

When I saw the initial shot that Bruce shared, I got a sense of how beautifully cut the set was. Besides, Bruce had written “Supah!”...
