Default SOLD Flammang GC-50-L

Very nice Flammang GC-50-L. Will consider trades of comparable value. It has a bump pictured on the top, otherwise awesome shape. Any anomalies in the pictures are just the light or a reflection. Other than the bump shown it is clean. Here are remarks and video and specs from Dream Guitars:

"Ladies and gentlemen, I give you a powerhouse of Grand Concert from David Flammang! This new GC50-L has got Flammang's characteristic brightness and attack in spades here, thanks in part to the classic pairing of East Indian Rosewood and Sitka Spruce, and in part by Flammang's Lowden-inspired top bracing. With a shockingly clear upper register (like jumping in an alpine lake) and a warm low-end (like a roaring fire in winter), this guitar is one that folks won't want to put down. Flammang's skills are top-notch, and his understated appointments, from the elegantly carved Ebony bridge to the oval soundhole and Abalone rosette, are deceptively subtle camouflage for this livewire of a Grand Concert. Complete with a Guardian hardshell case, this GC50-L will be making beautiful music for the rest of its long life."

Back and Sides - Rosewood
14 Frets
2.25 Spacing

4 inches at the Heel

That’s very likely one of the very best guitars offered anywhere for that price range.

I was just playing my Flammang adi/mahogany GC-12 fret next to a very nice Collings. The Flammang is every bit the equal of the Collings in woods, fit and finish, and to my ear superior in tone. And, I’m an unabashed fan of Collings!

GLWS. Someone will really appreciate this one, I’m betting.

Default neck profile?

How is the neck profile? I had a Flammang GC50 (not L) that I had to let go because the neck was just a bit too large: .876 at the 1st and .996 at the 9th. It was a V that I guess was rounded to some extent, but a more prominent V and larger than the Collings mod V for example. It was too much when I tried to wrap my thumb around at the upper frets, but I loved everything else about it. Thanks.

Default back and sides

One other question: I thought the "50" indicated rosewood back and sides, but they are listed as mahogany (?). Thanks.

Thanks! You are correct By mistake I put mahogany. I will give an update on the neck when I get it in my hands tonight.

I think that speaks more to the build quality of the Collings - Flammang is a very low volume solo luthier.

This is quite a good sounding guitar.
