If you haven’t read the books published thus far, you owe yourself some downtime to get it done! Great read.

I've been binge watching Netflix and Prime Video so I have watched the Expanse. I was invested with it for a while but the political undertones and whole zombie apocalypse slant kinda made it less of an escape.

IMO Trek died in 1991 with Gene Roddenberry but I stuck it out through to the disappointing end to Enterprise on UPN. I don't do nu Trek. It lacks the heart and soul of what made Star Trek great. I recall a time when syndication and fan fiction were the true heart of the franchise and in the last decade or so technology has put out some high quality stuff that unfortunately CBS tried to kill with lawyers. So, To Heck With Trek.

I'm not a sci-fi aficionado but I really enjoyed Firefly. The Expanse was also excellent. DS9 was the pick of the Treks for me, but I can't say that I've ever been a big fan of the franchise. It has such unlikable characters. Dr Who was responsible for most of my childhood nightmares and indirectly responsible for at least one broken bone. I guess I haven't forgiven it because I haven't watched it since!

I never could get into DS9. It's my least favorite of the bunch. Not bad but just average. I do recall the last few seasons got better once Warf joined and the war with the Dominion.

Love it! Did you like Kes? I never got into her character but her replacement, Seven of Nine, was awesome. I gained some appreciation for Kes when I watched the series the 2nd time around but nowhere near the other characters.

I just started watching it on Netflix. I watched it when it first came out, this should be entertaining as I don't remember much of it at all.

I liked Star Trek, original only.
Then went to X-Files, Millennium, and American Gothic.
Later went to Travelers, Haven, Eureka, Dresden Files, Grimm
Trying The Expanse, but not really drawing me in yet.

Millennium is a show I haven't seen, or heard about, in 20 years. Same with Profiler. Neither are streaming on Netflix / Amazon Prime Canada.

I can almost see why. I think it was just too drama-heavy and drawn out. But I did still enjoy it.

Is it worth watching if it's been cancelled? Is there a cliff hanger ending?
