I sort of play mostly in a jazz type mode but, play almost anything on it from the Carter family to van Morison. this guitar is a lot of fun.

I was looking at the LH600 and the LH300 when I was searching for my archtop, and played two side by side. I found the LH600 a better guitar, but not by much. I eventually got a LH700 (found a great price on a used one) and love it to bits. I tend to play jazzy stuff on it but it works well for alt-country type stuff too. I like to play finger-picking, country blues stuff too for me the nut is a little too narrow - I have other guitars for that though so not a big deal.

Not familiar with the LH-300, but the 600's/700's are amazing guitars for the money - you'd be surprised at just how versatile a good archtop can be - and if they didn't have those period-correct deep-V 1-3/4" necks I'd own one right now...
