I am also one of these people that had to know what it was like to have nylon strings on a steel guitar. Quieter, a little muted trebles. As said ok for home use if you want it quieter. The saddle on a nylon string guitar is mainly horizontal while a SS it is at an angle. This would create intonation problems. Silk and Steel would be much better and still have tension about as low as nylon. Martin makes some, give them a try.
