This year feels different, last year we lost our starting Pro Bowl left tackle during the last game of the season as well as other keys guys. This year many many injuries along the O-line and defense. Too many to even list, BUT the difference is, many of these guys have had time to recoop as the injuries happened early in the season. The back-ups have come in and played great to account for the 13-4 record.

Now the Left tackle is back from his CCL rehab playing 20 snaps or so against Detroit, the right tackle is back as well as a starting center! On defense our all pro corner is going to be back for the playoffs, our leading rusher Zadarius Smith is practicing and has not played since game 1, and the kick returner we just signed is also back.

So instead of everything going downhill, all these guys coming back is like being able to trade for 4 all pros and add them to your team the week before your first playoff game. Oh and A-rod's toe is now 100%. Can't help but be optimistic and add that to home field in Green Bay in January!
It sounds like the opposite of Tampa Bay where they've had late season injuries to key players. Some will come back but we'll have to see if they're 100%. I just hope that Green Bay and Tampa Bay can meet again... that can only happen in the NFC Championship game. That may be better than the Super Bowl.

Except for the outcome, I did think last years GB TB game was better than the SB.

ADDENDUM to above post:

Just found out Mercilus who was signed from the Texans and tore his biceps in his 4th game with the Packers was listed as out for the year. SURPRISE, he was practicing yesterday and maybe ready to play in a week!

So here is a partial list of guys who have missed most of the season being added back to the team...

Zadarius Smith (all pro)
Jaire Alexander (all pro)
Whitney Mercilus
David Bakhtiari (all pro)
Josh Meyers (rookie starting center)
Randall Cobb (slot receiver and A Rods bestie)
Billy Turner (starting right tackle)

How you doing AE? It'll be interesting to see Belichick' plan for Mac Jones against the Bills. Earlier this year, with that strong wind, Mac only threw 3 passes but the Pats won.

Really looking forward to Raiders @ Bengals and 49ers @ Cowboys! They've played some classic playoff games in the past, and hoping they live up to the excitement from last week, or at least close. I feel like both those could go either way, where Bucs/Eagles and Chiefs/Steelers look like pretty big mismatches where I don't feel like Pittsburgh or Philly are really legitimate playoff teams.

It's the NFL though, who knows!

It's the playoffs, and everyone is 0-0 right now.

Yep, new season begins for 14 teams. I wonder where the big upset(s) will be this week-end? I don't see the Steelers pulling it out over the Chiefs but that would be great.

Edit: Green Bay has the best odds to win the Super Bowl. 2nd is Kansas City. Last are the Steelers followed by the Eagles.

Really looking forward to this w/e. Lots of games I really interested in.
- Grew up in the Philly area and still can’t lose that “green blood”. The Bucs were dominant in Philly earlier this year, but the Smeagles finished strong so maybe they will make a game of it.
- Spent the first 10ish years of my adult life in the Buffalo area and grew to love the team and the fans. First place I ever really tailgated. If the Bills beat the Pats they truly will have supplanted the Pats as “the team” in the AFC East.
- The rest of my life has been in Texas and most of that in the DFW, and though I watch the team with interest, I will never be a real fan. If you don’t understand why see first two items above! But this team is reallydangerous on offense. Any team that lets them get untracked early could find themselves blown out of the stadium. But they have trouble at times getting untracked so if the 49ers can get them off the field early in the game and have success running the ball they definitely can win.
- Finally I’m a long time Andy Reid fan, so I will watching and pulling for the Chiefs even though I am fan of Big Ben as well.
Let the games begin!

This first week of playoffs has great matchups and a couple of long shots to root for (come on Philly!). I'm looking forward to watching the games. I already told my wife we are Eagles fans this weekend

Given that there's only a single bye in each conference this year it makes for two great teams, 11-6 vs 12-5, to play in the wild card round. Both QBs were the #1 pick and neither has won a playoff game before (although this is Murray's first shot at it).

Rams and Cardinals split their season series. Each team winning on the others home field.
Should be a good game. It may come down to which QB has the better game against the others defense.
