Default Emerald comparison video

I've often wondered how the various Emerald models compare sound wise. They recently posted a video comparing the X7, X10, X20 and X30. See what you think...

I watched this on YouTube a few days ago.

I know what an X20 sounds like

The X7 sounded much better than I expected. The regular X10 sounded pretty good too. The X30 got short shrift, I think - it sounded brittle, and as ifit was being played with a thinner pick. Others noted that the mic placement was not favourable for it either.

It’s a brave attempt, but also a salutary example of how hard this kind of comparison is to do.

That's what I thought as well. The X10 Slim sounded about like I expected based on other people's comments.

And yes the X30 didn't sound nearly a "deep" as I've heard in other videos, like this one for example:
