Default Dion and The Belmonts

I’m a huge fan of the 50s be bop music. As such I’m also a big fan of Dion and The Belmonts. I’m wondering if anyone can suggest a strum pattern for his Shu Bop song.

Thanks in advance.

Down down up, down down up for each measure would work for that kind of beat.

Point of clarification. Dion and the Belmonts are definitely not bebop. Bebop is the revolutionary jazz that came out of Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie and their cohorts in the 40s.

For reference, the very first track on this Deja Nu album is the Shu Bop song I believe you are referring to.

I have made no effort to learn this song, but just listening to it, I think I'd be playing 2 down strums and then a third downward strum with the strings muted.

Even at almost 85 years old Dion is still the coolest person in any room that he walks into.

Here he is giving lessons to John Sebastian and Jimmy Vivino;

Surprisingly, his voice is still great and he can play a mean acoustic guitar!

This one from Dion is one of my favorite blues records.

Tank full of Blues
I love listening to his Blues style. It's very infectious. It's a great one to listen to just driving around.
A very talented individual when you consider his longevity in music. A true American bluesman.
