Well, I like violins, and I like flat tops, but I also like arch tops....so I developed this style of building, it's a vioarchflattop kinda thing They have lipped edges like violins, they have arched tops and backs like arch tops but they have custom contour shaped "flattop" bridges
The back is carved arch that is also "parquet" Lacewood, Walnut,Aframosia and Sapple They're pretty different I think from most, but they are "Arched" tops so I'll take a gamble that they are on topic enough to post.

52' L7-C The pickguard is obviously non-original. I also have a dearmond floating pickup not currently installed.

What a nifty box! What disaster do you think would take place if the wood screw were loosened?

Here some of the pre-war Epiphones in our family (there are a couple more).
As you can tell I am quite a fan of these ... Felix P.S. I maintain a website about my research on pre-Gibson Epiphones: NY Epi Reg - The Unofficial New York Epiphone Registry. There you find plenty of info about Epiphone instruments (more than most people ever want to know :-). Centerpiece of my research is the Registry database documenting about 3700 vintage Epi instruments so far. (Owners of pre-1956 Epiphones are also invited to contribute info - see here. Note that my research project is strictly non-commercial.)

Godin 5th ave.
Kinda a strange guitar as I dont like it that much acoustic, but plugged in, it sounds epic. Usually find that is more correlated. |
