Default Norwegian Wood

Been stuck on this song lately so I recorded it a couple of different ways, now I’m moving on

Hi Bob,
I picked your solo guitar playing.
Always love this song!
Love the tone of your guitar.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Rene.
That solo guitar recording is a Martin MMV dreadnought (spruce/rosewood) with medium PB strings. I don't usually fingerpick or record it so I was curious to see how it sounded.
Nice of you to listen!

Good job with both Bob. There's a lot going on with these arrangements. You're making great progress!

Nice going Bob. Personally I’m always going to trend towards a solo guitar version on a song like this. Good job.

Nice work Bob. I’m a bit more partial to the second one. I think the more delicate approach works better for this song, but that may just be to MY ears. I’ve done a couple recordings of this myself, but nothing that will reach public ears! Both are strummed and sung, one has a pretty nice sitar-ish feel to the guitar but the vocal sucked eggs. The vocal is better on the other, but the guitar has no life at all. Fun song to play, regardless. Your fingerstyle is really coming along!

Keep it up,

-Ray

Thanks, Mike. I appreciate your listening. One of my reasons for trying to learn finger pick was that I couldn’t sing my favorite Beatles songs, but I keep trying

Thanks, Ray. That’s a hard tune to do the flat picking on for me, I missed a lot of strings. Great tune, let’s hear your version!

Hi Bob,

I enjoyed both of those recordings, but I thought the solo guitar version had some really appealing sounds in there! Well done!

Thanks Glenn! This arrangement is exactly as written in the Hal Leonard book. Some of them are not so good, but I really like this one.

I appreciate your encouragement
