As I linger in the woodshop while my McKnight luthier tries to read my mind on the aesthetics of the next guitar I pulled out a few scrap pieces pieces and came up with what was considered a simplistic Falcon. Check it out. You might even recognize a few pieces.

Tail Feathers = Wenge Fretboard cut offs

Feather Tips = Spruce binding scraps

Wings = Walnut from yet another

Gears = Bloodwood and Ebony

Circles = (inside gears ) Bloodwood and Ebony

McKnight badge is a Christmas ornament from the McKnight tree - Cherry (Hey, anything is up for grabs when I'm in this mood)

Shield - A scrap board called Catalpa which we have not yet used for a guitar.

Looks cool Mary. Maybe a giveaway at the next McJam?

Maybe this one will stay here this time. Scrap pieces of guitar cuttings are more fun to play with in my spare time. As the McKnight theme guitars always have pieces I decide not to use on the guitars they tend to get tossed in the corner and quite often they become BTU's never to be seen again. I was fidgeting while making hospital patient giveaways and within 15 minutes there this was. I feel it's still not complete. Originally the shield had raw edges for an aged look, but over time that was lost. I made another of another design yet with some likenesses. My luthier is kind enough to let me pickle around when I am out of the way while in his shop.

I like your shield!

I would suggest calling it “GuitART”

Cheers

Ohhh, very clever name. I like that!

I have been tinkering with scraps over the year but I tend to give these items away as door prizes during McJams. Our home is somewhat oddly eclectic. I have been told there is a little hippy in me.

Here is another piece of scrap art that landed on our wall. I had a spot on the wall that needed something. I have searched here and there. It didn't need to be anything of great history or painted by a well named artist. I began tinkering with more scraps. This is the end result.

A little visitor left her own fun art sitting in the corner. I'm guessing this means she was avoiding to say she was tired!

My mind was tilting this way and that this morning on how to use more scraps as a rosette without going full blown mosaic. My luthier's eyebrows screamed that he isn't as crazy about the idea as I might be.

To my English professor friends and customers - Eyebrows are an action verb in the McKnight Guitar shop.

Dear Rodger, Kurt, Dennis, Todd, David, Neil (Ukulele) whoever else might see this. This means you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhbY2kXzHvM

Rodger always has to be the smart one for Mary. Rodger knows that! Rodger is the right hand man concerning technology for Mary. Rodger knows that. Rodger is the assistant leader of the McJam. Admit it. Rodger knows that, too. Rodger needs to educate Mary is the YOUTUBE department, too. and ...Rodger ... Knows... that... too.

We had a guitar on a road trip many years ago. Scott Allyn made a McKnight Guitar Youtube. YOU will see JR, who owns this amazingforum we are on right now, playing his McKnight Guitar.

McKnight Guitars has another YOUTUBE site that virtuoso Michael Chapdelaine made using the AGF award guitar along with the McKnight Diamond. It is very limited on the number as Mary is not so clever.

Nope. Still a noun in that sentence (and its subject), but I've watched Tim's eyebrows in motion before and they can be extremely active. Such is especially true when he's tidying up one of my McKnights' (still his McKnights') and sees that I've done something stupid with the action. It's followed by the Tim McKnight Patented Death-Stare Glare. Just makes me want to crawl behind the wood stove, even if it's fully blazing, and curl up in a fetal ball.

I'll need a primer from Rodger before I can undertake a YouTube (or Utube, or eweTube....) video. Perhaps that's a tutorial session at the next McJam?

Great idea Kurt. You should tag team with Rodger and teach a class. Us (or we?) old dogs are always willing to learn a new trick or tewe.
