Default HELP - where to buy tuning post parts?

As I was restringing my Martin 00-15 a tiny part of one of the tuning gears fell off, and I couldn't find it. I have open gear tuners. The part that fell off is the tiny piece that has the opening for a flat-head screwdriver. You can see it in this picture (not my tuner just a random internet photo)

The part I need is tiny and I can't afford to buy a whole new set of tuners. I just need an online store or someone who will sell me this tiny part.

Stewart-MacDonald is were I'd start. They sent me the same screw for one of my Waverly tuners. My guess is that they'll have something that will work for you. have something that will work for you.

Worse case scenario; you can't buy that screw, a brand new set of nickel Grover 18:1 Sta-Tite tuners are only $41.11 at Stewmac.
Probably one of the only true bargains still left out there in the world of all things acoustic guitar.

Straight swap, drop straight in - if the picture you posted is correct.

It's just a standard machine screw. Take one out of one of the other tuners and bring it to any decent hardware store to get a match.

Simply remove the screw from one of the other tuners and use that, problem solved.

Or call Martin. They'll probably send it to you free. At least Taylor did, when I asked about buying a tuner for my non-warranty guitar that needed one of the tuners replaced.

Going forward, part of your string change routine should be checking and tightening all the screws. They can and will vibrate loose and eventually disappear. Good luck finding a replacement screw.

I lost that tiny screw recently off my old FG140. Stopped by an Ace hardware, they have a great selection on tiny screws and things.

Found what I needed, cost 33 cents.
