Default Ovation Neck Re-set

Hello all.

I purchased a Glen Campbell 12 String that is a 1980 or 81 model. It is in beautiful condition. The only issue is that the neck needs to be re-set. All adjustments that can be made, have been made, and the strings are still too high. Measuring the neck with a straigt edge compared to the bridge, it is quite obvious that it needs to be re set.

So here is the question. The neck is glued on (no bolt). Is it possible to remove and re-set this neck? I talked to a local Luthier and he told me that he doesn't know anyone that had ever done it. Can anyone on here provide any info?

Thank you.

Can it be done? Yes, but it will not be easy or therefore cheap.

I am one of the few shops I know of that even touches these things. I can help you if you need it.
